MALI
Filmmaker Robert Clem travelled to Mali in 2010 to work with architectural historian Jean-Louis Bourgeois and his Djenne Initiative on a film intended to focus attention on the nation's problems and document a culture which in some ways seems superior to the West. Over a five-week period Clem traveled extensively within the country while focussing most of his attention on the ancient adobe city of Djenne, a world heritage site.
